Irritating

Here is why I am irritated. I went out with this guy once. It was a pretty good time and for once, I was attracted to him. Anyway, he called to make a date for meeting #2. He told me he would call me either Monday or Tuesday to confirm for date #2, so we could work around the nights I am not in class after work. We decided on Wednesday. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday come around and no call. So what can you say to yourself, but "Oh well. His loss."
Here is the other irritating thing. Whether I am driving to work or taking the EL downtown, I see him ALL the time. When I am driving, I see him walking to work. When I am on the train, I notice he is on the same train.
This week alone, I have seen him everyday I had been downtown. Everyday. Usually I only see him. But he noticed me first while on the train Monday. AND walking down the street today he saw me walking to work.
So of course, I don't want to talk to him so I find myself walking rather quickly to work in order to avoid him. Sh*t. One of these days we are really going to bump into each other.
So yes, I am irritated that I have to see him. Why can't I see that cute trader that smiled at me a few weeks ago. God, isn't it funny how life works sometimes!

ooooo...
(is it my turn *wink*?)
LOL ... seriously, it's too bad you live about a billion miles away from me. I just took it upon myself to read your profile and you sound awesome! I gasped when I saw your favorite books ... I loved "Traveling Mercies" and just bought her follow-up book to it. I'm eagerly anticipating it. Oh well ... sigh.
My emoticon is "Magic Fairy Dust"... poof! we are "there" together .. chatting away ..
I just LOVE Annie Lamott... saw her twice when she was in town here in Portland... she is as funny in person as in her books. I got her autograph on Traveling Mercies but lent it out and lost track to who but got it on her Plan B book.
You got a profile? .. wondering where you are that is a billion miles away....

One of her quotes (paraphrasing from memory) from her Pastor... Joy is Peace in motion, Peace is joy at rest.
I like the magic fairy dust! That is a lovely quote from A. L. I have learned so much from her books (I love "Bird by Bird", her book on writing too). Very cool that you got to see her and have her sign your books.
I'm in the Chicago area. Nah, I don't have a profile ... but I think I'm set up to receive email, so feel free to drop me
