...I was charged as a "senior" at the movies, that is. I went to the movies with a friend of mine last night, and I was remarking that it was unusual that they had lowered their ticket prices to $6.50. She replied that she'd paid $7. Then it hit me. The ticket seller assumed I was "senior." He didn't even ask.
I felt terrible.
When I got home, I looked up what this theater considers senior: 62. I'm 57. OK, I know that's not a whole lot of difference, but I'm not ready for my 60s. Plus lately I've been looking at photos of myself and I feel I've really aged in the last year, so I'm feeling insecure about that. I have my hair colored and cut in a contemporary style. I'm not overweight. I wear contemporary clothes. But I do wear glasses (stylish of course), and I've never had any work done on my face (or anywhere else).

oh; Florida Florida where do I begin????
I am same age as you and I keep getting things for AARP and have some health issues and the list goes on... The aging process just hits like a ton of bricks and I say how did this happen?? It truly sucks doesnt it????
Only saving grace is that baby boomers are living longer and there are tons of things we can do to sort of

Just a point --- time/space continuum or not, I note that the Great Morgan Freeman isn't looking all that perky himself anymore.
My aunt is 80 & she still colors her hair--refuses to let it go gray until she dies.
There's a host on one of those shows, and he has a British accent.
