So you all know I'm a hockey fanatic right? If not, you do now...LOL. I watch ALL the Canucks games, know all the players, etc.

IT guy and I are at the point where we talk close to every day now. Even if its just a quick "busy day, hope yours is going well" email. Today, he finally called my office and ASKED me out! LOL. He is making me dinner at his place and we'll watch the game. I don't know which I'm more excited about, but I can't wait!!! Maybe tonight is the night we finally consummate the r/ship, I've certainly been dropping large hints...okay, I've been downright crude but the dude was NOT getting it ;-)

Anyway, suffice to say I am smitten! And I have NO interest in anyone else but him right now :)

The Canucks won!!! But thats not what you meant ;-)

Well, I chickened out. He makes me nervous...and I'm certain I make him nervous. I kind of think we have to wait until we're comfortable enough not to get nervous, LOL. Or will that ever happen?

The guy was so sweet - he drove me home at midnight even tho he has to get up for work at 5am. Then he sent me an email first thing this morning. Saying he had fun watching the game (even tho he wasn't into hockey before) with someone so exciting and excited...lol...

Sorry to disappoint ya!

You'd better watch out! You might have yourself a real, honest to goodness, living, breathing BOYFRIEND soon!

Keep us updated, cause you KNOW if you don't tell, we'll ask.

Yep, you were right! And...you are right again except for one thing. He is saying "ok, if you want me to, I will" open doors for you. B/c now he does! Right after that conversation, he started doing it all the time :) I agree tho, its a concern. But at least we are able to talk about these things rationally...no one is perfect but great communication is a good thing.

Thanks for the thoughts - glad I can count on you folks to keep me grounded!

Hmm...interesting. So I wasn't too far off ;-).

For the record, I don't think your standards and expectations are too high. It sounds like a somewhat passive/aggressive way of saying "yeah, I know you have other guys after you, but I'm *still* not going to open doors for you, etc. Deal with it."

I hope I'm wrong! Cooking dinner is a good start...but I'd keep this in the back of your mind, Go.

Looking forward to a report this weekend ;-).

Yes, he did clarify for me.

He thinks my standards and expectations are higher than normal - more like "hot chicks" because I have way too many choices. Apparently, men try to flirt with me in front of him and I don't even realize it. He pointed to a few "innocent" cases. He didn't want to get into it b/c he wasn't sure how I'd handle the truth. And he didn't know if it bothered him or not. Apparently, he's decided it doesn't. He knows I always give him my complete attention, never make eye contact with other guys and do not start the flirting...but I do enjoy the attention of the flirting and always have to respond. I told him that'll fade as I get more flirting from him ;-)

Cool! I'm glad for you.

Although I am still curious to hear if any of us were on the money as to what he meant by "hot chick syndrome"! Has he told you yet???
