It's officially Summer!

Which is always the time of year when my thoughts turn...
less clothing
sweaty bodies
swimming pools full of wet, tanned skin
bulging muscles showing
shirtless men...
these things always remind me of what I'm NOT getting, and what I'd really like to get (with the right person, of course).
Anyone else start to miss sex more this time of year?

I was just telling a friend that I really wanted to find a date for the 4th of July festivities this year. I usually attend our get-togethers solo, which is fine. However, I have recently discovered that several of the friends in our clique are newly off the market and will probably bring dates out on the boat(we watch the fireworks from the lake)this year.
It would be nice, wouldn't it? To have a "HE" ??? Even if just for a "thing" as Carrie Bradshaw would have put it ; )

Honestly, I'm thinking a "thing" might be okay with me right now.
I've had a couple of those over the last few months. They weren't full fledged things but they were fun, I'll just leave it at that.
There seem to be just as many unavailable men online as there are in the real world so, I concur. I am usually not one to sit around and whine about being dateless but, I have literally had three single friends to become coupled in the last month. They are in those happy, giggly, euphoric stages of dating and I am not too proud to admit it, I'm jealous! Not so much of the potential relationship--just the fun parts! Always having someone to flirt with and, you know how much fun just kissing is the first few months of dating? Oh and, don't forget the sweet hand holding. Yeah, I know, I'm making myself sick.
Good luck with "guy" ; )
Yes, summer tends to increase testosterone in everyone! Is it just me or is there an underlying *panic* associated with the upcoming 4th of July holiday being single? There's a part of me that wants to start scrambling to make sure that I have a date, but for the 4th, you want to make sure its someone special. Is it just me?

It's the fireworks.
Well, the "guy" called!
Wow.. he sounds pretty honest to be telling you all of this! The fact that he's not sure of the 'protocol' would also indicate that he's fairly green at dating and may be introverted, but most likely would be fairly genuine! My advice, make him feel comfortable, keep him talking and let him open up. This could be good.. :)

We'll see.
