I really don't get this weather.
That storm is making its way to my neck of the woods late tonight into tomorrow morning.
Where do you live again?
Denver's a skating rink today, and there was a massive accident south of town -- I think a 30+-car pileup. UGH!
The sun is out today, though, so that's something. It's only 26 degrees, but we have sun darnit. :)
AJ, enjoying life with C.
I'm in Nashville, TN. Do you get sick of all the snow? See, we miss it here. For some reason we don't get very much anymore. When I was in grammar school it was not uncommon for us to get over three inches several times during the winter but the last decade or so, we only get about two good snows per winter, maybe three if we're lucky. Good snows for us is just a couple of inches, enough to pack a snowball or make a small snow man. The most I ever remember us getting was just over a foot.
Does your area experience a lot of tornadoes? While our wintry precipitation has decreased over the years, the harsh windy weather has increased. It started back in 98 when a huge tnado came through downtown Nashville. Since then, it seems we have some really bad ones come through about every other year. We're under a watch tonight until 6 and they closed area schools early. It's weird because this kind of thing was only known to me as a child through watching The Wizard Of Oz.
Have you seen An Inconvenient Truth? I have not but I think I will rent it. I saw a documentary on global warming and it's effects on the weather on public television a while back and it was really interesting.
I don't really get sick of the snow...I mean, I hate shoveling and cleaning it off my car, and I hate driving in it unless I'm in a vehicle that has 4-wheel drive...but when it's coming down, I like it, and I like how it looks on the ground, especially at Christmastime.
That is just crazy.
