So I wake up today on Easter Sunday . We are having people over for a gathering and dinner and I go downstairs and I hear a man's voice. Its sis's new guy and they are laughing and talking and all. He is coming back later for dinner.. I cant help but feel jealous but not sure if that is what I am feeling. I mean I want the best for sis but I cant help feeling like this.

So here I am again alone with no one. Later on there will be all couples and me.. I started crying and most likely hope and pray I get through the day as I watch all the couples living their lives. I so wish I could leave or maybe I should..

well I guess its a vent. You guys dont have to say anything to make me feel better cause it wont help.

I am thinking about going and living somewhere in Bermuda where no one knows me and becoming a Bohemian because this life just sucks.. Who wants to join me??

Oh Bermuda is a nice place--although I would have to have enough money to live in a nice house.

thank you Music.. I had a good cry and the initial shock has worn off.

I will survive the day as I have survived the other days alone and so what else can I do?

but the Bermuda thing is sounding really good right about now??(lol)

There are good islands in Oceania that have lots of good looking men and a playground for women!

Free, there IS nothing any of us can say, because we all totally get what that feels like. I avoid couples things now, except when I'm with my family.

Yes. that Island sounds good and I swear I really need to do something because I cannot take much more of this stuff anymore.

Free,

You sound like you have a LOT of good friends. I'm jealous of that :)

It's Easter Sunday and I'm here alone with my children. My DH is working 12 hours...and I had no invites to Easter dinners anywhere. My SIL does a big easter thing every year, but she doesn't think to invite me. I live 5 mins away. Last year they had a pool party and the ONLY reason I was there was to drop off my mother who was babysitting the next day for them. They didn't even invite me to stay. Yet I saw a women I went to HS with there! They had met because their sons play ice hockey together...they didn't know each other before.

I'm also being bullied at work. It's a very sad and depressing situation. I am good at my job and usually enjoy working. Now I don't.

So you have friends and you have a life. It will be nice if you can find someone to share that with - but remember you have that and not all of us do.

I'm replying only because I can commiserate. Maybe not about the despair portion of your post, but sometimes it is quite alienating being the only singleton at the family gatherings. Both my brother and sister were married for over 20 years. My sister is still happily married but my brother and his wife separated in '07(he's recently dating again). The only time it gets uncomfortable is, at Xmas, my parents always buy me a couple of extra gifts. One year my mother even pointed out the reason to me: "It's because your brother and sister get gifts from their spouses, and/or children." How sweet, right? There's nothing better than receiving a pity gift at Xmas time :)

Well based on my last vacation to the Bahamas, you wouldn't have to pay a guy there to have sex--they seemed pretty willing.

OK, so I just gotta tell you this, CFK. One of my exec assistants finally got her Masters from USC and since she was working for me for only about $20/hr, she decided to move on and find Big Money to pay off her student loan.
