I really shouldn't watch "Tough Love" because it messes with my head.

Yes I think it's hard enough to find one, never mind three--when I was younger I did date 2 guys at once a couple of times very casually.

I know the book.. Find love in 90 days by Diane Kirschner, PHD... I have the book.. she says find three men to date but not have sex with any of them until like you said one makes a committment to you...

Only thing with her theory is that I can barely find one

Oldies to this board have probably "heard" me talk about this theory before but there's this rule called "the 3 man rotation". The theory is that if you are dating three guys at once, you won't have time to fixate on the one who really gets your engines running. Also, even if you don't come right out and announce to each of them that the others exist, it will become obvious to them over time. The theory there is, that this will make them want you even more and if they really like you, they'll step up to the plate.

I've only had the luck/pleasure of seeing three guys at once, one time in my life and I have to say it was a lot of fun. In my experience, everything fell right into place, just as the book had suggested(I forget the title). This went on for a few months and I ended up with the one I wanted(until I became bored with him, *snicker*).

Anyway, I agree with you. As long as there's no commitment, I don't see the harm in it. I personally chose not to have any physical relations while on this "diet" but I think as long as one is taking necessary precautions, what's the harm? I too think it's cruel to come right out and tell X that one is also seeing X and X. They'll eventually figure it out and if they are serious enough about you, they'll either dump you, or they'll ask for exclusivity.

I read your other post first so I won't comment on your older BF but I can't understand why your mentor thinks the guy is using you--and basically suggests that you should be using him.

I had lunch today with my mentor, who is married, 78, and also reasonably wealthy.
