I have noticed lately something that interests me... I have noticed a lot of talk about either going to school for a masters degree or already having one. I wonder if it has anything to do with all the smart women on this messageboard!!! I am getting my masters in Clinical Counseling so I can be a great therapist one day. What about the rest of you???

I finished up my master's program last July and began working on my specialist's degree in June.
I have an advanced degree as well, (JD). For me it has to do with continuous growth. I enjoy intellectual challenges. I need the feeling that I am stretching my boundaries. Education provides that outlet for me.
I have been out of school for a while, almost 10 years, and next year I plan on going back for a PhD. My employer will pay all the costs. I will take the classes very slowly, 1 or 2 a semester. The goal isn't really the degree, it's the learning process and keeping my mind sharp.
I got my master's in Public Health Epidemiology in April. I'm a clinical study coordinator now for a hepatologist at the University of Michigan. My job keeps me crazy busy, but I love it. I just like a challenge and enjoy learning and growing intellectually. In a couple years I'm going to pursue my PhD, hopefully in clinical research design or something to that effect.
It is really nice to find a place like this where I can relate to everyone, both in our personal and professional situations!
