Maybe this could be love...

I was at a university conference this weekend. I was basically going to have fun and meet new friends. Who would've known that I would meet the most incredible guy I've ever known. As I got there, I noticed this guy looking at me from across the circle we were standing in. There were probably about 100 of us and he kept looking at me. Turns out we were in the same leadership group. He introduced himself to me right away, and I swear, we talked for eight hours straight - from the time we met at 6pm to the time we went to bed at 2am. Spending the entire night together talking was only the beginning. Who knew that we would spend the following day getting lost from our group because we were talking to each other so much - paying attention to just us and no one else. We were literally inseparable, almost joined at the hip. We even got the nickname "Bennifer" by combining our names together, because as people observed, we were always together. Despite talking about everything, there was a lot of flirting going on too once we got really comfortable with each other. I'd rest my head on the table, and he'd be sitting beside me. He'd give me a nudge and whisper, "No sleeping right now, you gotta stay awake" because we were in the middle of an activity with our group. He was being very cutesy with me I noticed. He kept making me laugh by doing impressions of Napoleon Dymanite (he looks a lot like that actor too). The thing I noticed the most is that we'd be standing beside each other, and I'd start laughing about something, and I'd see him out of the corner of my eye smiling at me. He tended to do that a lot. Look at me and smile. When it came time to leave at the end, he gave me a hug and told me he'd see me in two weeks when school started up. He also gave me both his phone numbers and his email address, basically any way possible for me to reach him if I needed/wanted to. We happened to walk by one of his relatives, and he told me, "She's going to see us together and ask me a bunch of questions, but that's okay with me."

So clearly this guy is interested in me, right? It was just the time of my life this weekend, I didn't expect to meet a guy at all - nor did I even have it on my mind. It just happened. I am so glad I met him. He is honestly the best guy I have ever met. I have never talked so much to one single person in my life. I think this could be the start of something good. We talked about relationships too and got it out in the open that we are both single. He had told me he just broke up with his girlfriend not too long ago because they were both moving away for University. I told him that I had gone out with this guy, and he was nice and all, but he was very boring and we never had anything to talk about (completely different from this situation now).

Thanks for listening. Any comments or advice about this would be great. I'm not a relationship expert myself. I've gone through a lot of bad ones.

Yes, it sounds like he's definitely interested, BUT please be careful about saying "maybe this could be love" after knowing the guy for two days. Take time to know him, let him show his true colors, and try to look past the fantasy to the reality. Especially since he just broke up with someone.

That said, I'm happy for you that you met someone nice that you can talk to. He could turn out to be amazing - and I hope he does - just give it some time. :)

Good luck, and enjoy getting to know him.

Thanks for your response! You are right - but it was just the first subject line that popped into my head. LOL. Anyways, I have spoken to him for about 2 hours today, and he would like to come down and visit me before school starts in 2 weeks. He asked how long of a drive it was and he gave me his address just in case. I am so excited! I can't believe that he wants to see me before school starts... I guess he just can't wait! (:

Aww, that's great. It's so nice to have butterflies for someone, isn't it?? :) Enjoy.
