I finally went to the doctor last Thursday for my sinus issues. They kept coming and going and coming back again. I've been on antibiotics and steroids for four days now and I think I'm finally starting to feel normal again. I woke up without a stuffy nose yesterday and today, and one of my ears is almost unclogged! It's amazing the difference feeling well makes. I'm not 100% yet- maybe 70% at this point. But before I was feeling about 40% of what I could be. The thing is, I've felt blah for a long time. I'm starting to think that I've had this infection for a really, really long time and just got used to it. It may even be why I wasn't sleeping.

I'm definitely going to refill my antibiotic when I'm done with the first round. I'm not taking any chances on this not being gone!

I'm also down about four pounds this week. I've been trying to be really good and got back to the treadmill (slower, to avoid reinjuring myself) so hopefully I can get rid of the 15 more I want to lose by summer!

I have taken Mucinex D every day for the last three years. I tell my doctor everytime she asks about meds, and she never says anything. I do wonder if I have polyps and that's why I always feel stuffed up. Right now, I'm almost dizzy from the movement going on in my head. You should ask your doctor. The difference it makes is amazing!

Hi Shy -- You will recall I was suffering a similar ailment. When the week of antibiotics were done, I was clear headed for the first time in five months!

I fear having to have an operation, especially when it involves my face. I'm afraid it'll mess up my nose, and I like my nose!

I highly reccomend using something to track calories and exercise if you're stuck. I usually use the livestrong app on my phone, but you can use the daily plate online too. It's a real eye opener about how many calories you're actually putting in your mouth vs. how many you burn.

Yes, I know all of that. It's actually 3.6 pounds since Christmas, and the last 1.6 was just this week since I've started tracking again.

It may work well for you not to record everything, but that doesn't work for me. When I stop, I gain weight because I'm less aware.

Fortunately, I'm lactose intolerant so ice cream has more immediate side effects for me. I can have about half a cup once in awhile and that's about it.
