So lately my self esteem and ego have been crushed because as I am alone alone and have been going out on the scene for years and been on dating sites and have gotten some dates nothing has come about. We all know that I have said I have a better chance at getting shot by a terrorist

Yes the setting for GG is Long Island but they filmed the original movie (w/ Robert Redford) in Newport, RI and I have been to that mansion on a tour.

I went home this weekend for a funeral. My best friend's mom died last week of cancer. When I got there, I discovered my best friend had switched boyfriends. Just like that. I liked the last guy. They dated for about a year. Now she's dating his best friend from high school. We're not "share every last detail" kind of friends, so I didn't even know the last relationship ended before the next guy fell in her lap! It's always been that way for her. I think it's because she still lives in our small hometown and everyone knows her. People want to set her up because they know her. The guys don't really have a lot of options there, so they don't have the candy store mentality. We're pretty equal looks-wise, so I don't think it's that she's just attracting more guys. It's just that guys there are more open and more available.

I cleaned out my garage a couple of months ago and found a few of my old books.

Do you mean Scarlett O'Hara? She was always the victim and she always said: "I'll worry about it tomorrow." Vivien Leigh was the actress who played her. That character is definitely one of the most conniving, selfish female characters ever - and yet, I kinda loved her. It's funny, I think PBS is doing a documentary on the author of the book tonight: Margaret Mitchell. I just checked, I think it aired last night...

oh; I know how great I am but other people just dont know because these days people look at the outside instead of the inside.. do you think??

Yes; that actress def. sounds like sis.. All nice and all and then bam her true self comes out.. Sis and I are so not alike. We are so opposite and she always wondered when my mom and dad took the wrong baby out of the hospital 52

That looks like it would have been a beautiful house in its day.

I so agreed with you regarding facebook. I find going to Facebook depressing and when everybody's life is so perfect.

The other day I was going to post a vent regarding it.
