So lately my self esteem and ego have been crushed because as I am alone alone and have been going out on the scene for years and been on dating sites and have gotten some dates nothing has come about. We all know that I have said I have a better chance at getting shot by a terrorist

No Blue.. YOu didnt read my post through and through... My sis DOES NOT PUT HERSELF OUT THERE.. She does not go out and she never does anything.. she does work but never meets anyone at work. She does not talk to strangers or smile or anything at anybody. That is why I am puzzled why men fall in her lap.. I am the one who goes out and been out there for years and talking and flirting and hanging out with people.. I am like you in that I have that type of outgoing personality. No; I know about the facebook thing. I see people on there all the time who seem so fortunate but I have also seen tragedy on there so I dont know. Maybe its that saying its who we know and who we associate with and what places we want to look for things. Like if you want quality look in a place where quality people go. If you want not so good people you most likely will find them OLD (lol) or dive bars.I choose to try and remain friends with quality people on facebook. I know that is pretty challenging but I weed them out just like OLD.. Not sure if this matches with what you said G but it just came to mind.

I think I'm pretty friendly & will talk to anyone, no matter what their looks, age or whatever, but it doesn't seem to get me asked out on dates. :(
