Just for kicks and giggles, I thought I'd start a fun game-y post about misheard song lyrics.

You also reminded me of another song that was all over the radio, this one about ten years ago: Tubthumping by Chumbawamba. Instead of "I get knocked down," me and my friends thought they were singing, "I got no gum."

And this is terrible, and I hope it's okay that I'm posting it...but I sometimes make up silly "alternate lyrics" to songs...anyway, anytime I hear the song "Take It On The Run" by REO Speedwagon, I have the urge to sing, "You take it in the bum baby" instead of the correct lyrics. Hehehe

If you really can't get enough of this, check out http://www.kissthisguy.com. It's a whole website of misheard lyrics. I discovered this at work a few years ago and laughed until I cried.

One of my favorite misheard lyrics was from the song "Fame." One of my coworkers thought that the line "Take your passion, make it happen" was "Take your pants down, make it happen."

<<<"I get knocked down,">>>

I loathed that song. I used to shout at the radio "STAY THE EFF DOWN".

ROFLOL - I do the same thing and I'm A LOT older than you! Been doin it for years.

Remember that awful song "We Built This City on Rock and Role"

Replace the R's with a C and an H.

Yeah. I'm mature.

"We built this city... ":: snicker ::

"We built this city on rock and roll.... ohhh...." (revising it in my head) :: giggle ::

:: wiping tears from my face ::

Here's one for you...

"Rake it... to the ribbit... rake it... to the ribbit one more time". by The Eagles.

That was what I heard one day when my niece was 3 and we were going somewhere.
