Okay, tonight it's about a guy who is a virgin and considers himself a donorsexual. He provides his sperm to couples who need it free of charge. He says he has fifteen children and three more on the way. The guy seems kind of odd. Kind of socially awkward. He does get regular std tests, although that seems pointless since he plans to stay a virgin.
I know I'm probably one of the only ones here now who wants babies, but I have to ask- would you do it? They haven't gotten to the actual insemination process yet, so I'm not sure how that works! Do you think it would be better than just picking out a guy and having sex with him just for his sperm?

Just kind of odd? I think if you wanted to do AI, it might be a better idea to go with someone you knew but then again it could cause issues later. I think I'd probably go for adoption, since I'm adopted myself.
Music, I thought the same thing about choosing someone I know, but you're right about the issues. Even if I was married, I wouldn't want the sperm donor to be around to remind me of who is the true father.
I think that if I were in the situation where I needed fertility treatments, I would probably go that route first, then adopt if I decided I wanted a second. I do want two children and I've always thought it would be great to adopt, but I don't know if I could not at least try getting pregnant first.
When I lived on a farm I worked for a neighbor who bred cattle. Chosing the best sire was an important decision. The farmer knew the bloodline and genetics for generations. Why would a human not be as careful?
I have no problem with single women or lesbian couples using donations....but I have seen a few news shows that show the donor was not in ANY way what he said in his bio. The 6'4", black hair, blue eyed Harvard grad with a strong family upbringing ends up being the dude you saw. (or a 5'6" ginger with bad teeth who works as a dishwasher)
But then is it nature or nurture?
Before I had my last dd, I had thought of fostering or possibly adopting but it never came to be...
At what point do you think you might actually do this? Is there a thought of that yet?
