. . . Aren't you in Boston?  I meant to post this days ago, but it slipped my mind.  Just hoping all your loved ones are safe and sound.

Thank you for asking.  The whole thing is so strange.  I was annoyed that I had to work on Monday cause for the past 2 yrs I have gone to the marathon.  If I had taken the day off, I wouldnt have gottenpaid & I need the money.  But my office is only a couple of miles from the marathon route.  Then yesterday they had the prayer service at the cathedral, which is only a short walk from my office.  I was actually thinking of going but the people were lining up hours ahead of time to be let in, so I couldn't really manage that.  I wish I had gone though.

So now today is more than odd--I decided not to go to work in down town Boston even though I think it's safe there, but you still never can tell.  The places where they are searching for the guy are on the opposite side of the city from where I live so at home it's normal.  My boss of course did not close the office (or maybe he did after I decided not to go in) but he is so afraid of losing money, which is why he only closes on the major holidays (Mon. was a state holiday) but all the government offices, courts, banks, etc. were closed.  It's still hard to believe that with the number of police out there and people off the streets that one guy is still hiding, but who knows?

I feel bad reading about all the sad stories of the people who were hurt, yet it's so touching to read about all the people who tried to help.  My DD's roommate, who is a nurse also, was in the medical tent volunteering when this happened.

Thanks for the heads up, Free.

Strange indeed, Music, and so sad.  Tuesday morning, a local radio station played a Mr. Rogers clip.  I know this is going to seem cheesy, but it was really touching.  It was just a clip of him talking to a kid about how, when bad things happen, always look for the helpers, that they will always be there.  That is so true.  Another thing I found incredibly touching was the National Anthem footage from the Bruins/Sabres hockey game.

It's so unfortunate what's happened and as you indicated, so strange but if I can pick out the positive, it's nice to see the way Americans band together in the face of tragedy.  I'm so thankful you and yours are okay!

I would love for the authorities to apprehend this other suspect alive so we may have some answers.

I was out for happy hour tonight and watched on the tv there as the news came across that they'd captured him. I'm so glad they took him alive. Hopefully he'll give up some important information. I wouldn't be opposed to torture to get it, either.

How interesting.  They had warnings about him.  These are the new insurgents.

Easy Listening Pop artist Wayne Reynolds puts a Folk spin on his classic love songs. Reynolds has re-released his album “Another Day Goes By” this year. It contains elements of Folk, Pop, Jazz, Classical, Bossa Nova, Oldies and more! He really pulls influences from his years playing classical guitar and being on the forefront of rock in Tennessee in the 60’s. You combine all of that and you get Wayne Reynolds! As an eclectic singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Reynolds has consistently avoided kowtowing to any brand of musical dogma throughout his musical career. “I’m reminded,” muses Reynolds, “of the exhortation by none other than Bobby McFerrin that we should not live in the same musical room all the time. Walk around, don't get stuck.”

There is no doubt that “Another Day Goes By” adheres to the open-ended artistic ethos that has sustained Reynolds since the beginning of his musical journey. You can listen, download, or order the album on iTunes and Amazon. You can also download his single “A Little Gray” for free on Facebook here

You can connect with Wayne Reynolds on Facebook, Twitter, and ReverbNation.

Jim Peterik’s first band The Ides of March have their very own street names after them in their hometown of Berwyn, Illinois. The street is named “The Ides of March Way” is between Riverside Drive and Cermak Road on Home Avenue. The street shares the location of Morton West High School where the band first started in a basement  near the school in 1964. The naming of the street really shares the towns pride in it’s successful citizens.

To go and show your support of Jim Peterik’s Lifeforce, his new jazz band, you can see him at Milwaukee Summerfest this month. His band will be playing before The Eagles and Loverboy so you can be assured it’s a great line-up! Lifeforce will perform on the ULine Warehouse Stage starting at 5PM on Sunday, July 7th. They will delight their fans with this Summerfest performance and will certainly gain some new listeners.

Lifeforce recently released a deluxe edition of their album “Forces at Play.” The remastered album is a two-disc set featuring bonus tracks and a total of 32 incredible jazz artists. The band is currently being played on over 20 radio stations worldwide!

Hip Video Promo ‘s Expertise in Music Video Marketing Will Promote Your Music Video and Get it Seen Around the Nation!

Hip Video has specialized in music video promotion for over 13 years and with their expertise, they will promote your video and get it seen around the nation. This arena is not something to try to do yourself…leave the music video marketing to the pros!

Hip Video’s many years in the business have earned them close relationships with the video programmers at the national outlets (MTV, VH1, Much Music, Music Choice, Havoc TV, Video-on-Demand, etc.), which is exactly what you need to get your videos aired there.

There are great opportunities for exposure beyond the large national outlets, and Hip video works them all to secure videoplays on regional and local video tv/cable shows: lifestyle video pools (outlets that provide in-store music videos to nightlife locations, shopping malls, retailers, fitness centers, restaurants, etc.), nightclubs, high profile Internet outlets and popular blogs.

Successful music video campaigns require massive attention to detail (correct labeling, closed captioning, submission forms, digital delivery, DMDS, etc.) plus relationships with the Programmers.  Hip Video does all necessary homework, writes a professional and compelling one sheet to accompany the campaign, and actively and enthusiastically pitches the artist and video to their long-standing relationships all throughout the music video programming community.  To see what Hip Video can do for you, check out their list of services here.

They’ve worked with an impressive roster of clients including The Lumineers, Bon Iver, Motley Crue, The B-52’s, and many more.  The question isn’t who have they worked with, it’s really who haven’t they worked with!  You can see their list of clients here.  While their roster includes well-known acts, Hip Video is also committed to working with independent artists and labels because they are just as important.
