Ok, I had a dental appointment about a week ago. Long story short, I have been back and forth to the dentist since December. Two or three times a month. Since then, we all (him, his staff and I) have become friendly. (They are always a happy bunch in that office). Anyway... Another long story short, I had put off having the work done for years because I don't have that kind of money - even with insurance it was going to cost me $7,000 out of pocket). So needless to say, this has been dragging on long enough.
About two months ago, when I gave him the go-ahead to work on my mouth, I was really happy/anxious to get started and I said a shy, "yay!" and gave him a hug. I think I shocked him, but he hugged me back as though he were happy for me, too. Well, my last appointment was about a week ago, and my teeth were - at long last - FINALLY done. I was so happy - with my new teeth and that it was all over - I, giggling, motioned for him to come over to me (he had walked a few steps away to throw his gloves in the trash). I hugged him again. My usual, "butterfly" hug, where, when I hug someone, I give light, fluttery "butterfly" slaps on their back. His assistant walked by and saw us, and looked at us strangley, and I smiled at her too. I pointed to my mouth and smiled really big... Then I hugged her - the same way. (You've GOT to understand - I was extrememly happy. i was able to have my teeth done and he was able to do it quite affordably - $1600 compared to $7,000, and they look amazing)! He told his assistant, pointing to my teeth, "what do you think?" His assistant doesn't speak much english, but she nodded, "yes," and though she had a medical mask on I could see her eyes widening as if her eyes agreed with her nod. Do you know what I mean?
Anyway, I was still beaming with delight, and he just sort of reached up and cupped my face in his hand and smiled at me. (That's what melted my butter - because his eyes had this gentle, soft, sincere - dare I say 'loving' - look to them when he did it). His assistant then began helping me with something (I forget) and he then patted my arm in kind of an up and down motion, still smiling and looking at me. I guess he was looking at my smile?
Either he was happy that I was happy, or he was flirting with me. Or maybe both? Which is it? It's been on my mind for days... Not that I mind him flirting with me - he's a sexy studd-muffin with big, brown eyes. But then again... I don't want to have the wrong idea, either. Maybe he just has a great "chair-side manner?" LOL
PS: I forgot to mention the there was a visit, between the first intial hug I had given him and the time he cupped my face in his hand, that I think he actually went to hug me, but then backed away. I was leaving the office, and I think part of it was that I wasn't reaching back to hug him - I was smiling and saying my goodbyes to everyone while turning to grab the door... All before I realized he was reaching out for a hug. I noticed the kind of disapointed/confused look on his face *shrugs*

I wouldn't read too much into it.
Oohhhhhhhhh I hope he does! lol
Truth be told, I want to back him against a wall and climb him.
Thanks for the replies! :o)
Hmmm... I just noticed... I had a really hard time logging in. So much so that it asked me to pick a username. (Huh? I thought I already did that)? Little did I realize I mistyped it. :o( I'm supposed to be 'cherylsaynhi' not 'cherylsanhi' Oh well.
