Well first of all, Tom Ford is gay so I don't know if straight men feel the same, but actually look at all the old paintings of nudes--the women were never skinny--the ideal woman was always curvy and fleshy until very recently.

I have two thoughts to share...one, I too was wondering what his idea of "fat" was...I'm sure it differs from person to person.
You are right CK as I sit here being not skinny and not fat.. Just a bit curvy and I still have had my share of men so what is the problem.
I was a size 10 most of my life..
You know what else irks me--that people equate thinness w/ fitness and/or athletic ability.
