NEED HELP-TALK ME OUT OF IT!

Ok, so it's been 2 months since my ex and I broke up. We were together for 4 months..I know not a long time..but enough to get attached..and I was the one who broke it off....well I'm finding myself thinking of him a lot lately. Today, I even went as far as composing an e-mail....just basic stuff like how have you been, just wanted to wish you a merry christmas...type of e-mail. When I realized what I was doing...I canceled it out...
TELL ME NOT TO DO THIS! I know I'm setting myself up for disappointment here...HELP..there is a strong urge to write...and am trying to fight it as best as I can....tell me why I shouldn't! Why its a bad IDEA! HELP!

What made you want to email him?
"TELL ME NOT TO DO THIS! I know I'm setting myself up for disappointment here...HELP..there is a strong urge to write...and am trying to fight it as best as I can....tell me why I shouldn't! Why its a bad IDEA! HELP!"
Okay, here goes:
CRVGRL, Don't do this! You are setting yourself up for disappointment! It's a bad idea b/c your gut is telling you not too and, uhh, you should uhh, listen to your gut instincts. Yeah.
--Seriously, you broke things off with him for a reason didn't you? If you thought it through very well and I'm sure that you did, then IT IS a bad idea to contact him b/c that would only confuse the situation. Tell you what, give yourself another four months. If you still have a strong urge to contact him at that point, then do it.
