New Year's Eve

We have talked about this before but now NYE is coming upon us and for the last three years I have done something. Now I have no plans .
There are a few things going on but I dont want to do them.. I sit here hoping and wishing for some sort of invitation but zero, nada and nothing so far..
Time is running out and worse comes to worse I will go over to the local pub where there is a band and walk in alone and get a drink .. I have written to some girls I used to hang out with to see what they are doing but no answer there either.
I dont want to sit home with Dick Clark Or Ryan Seacrest ..and watching that ball drop in Times Square and watch all the people in NYC freezing their pippies off..

I don't know if I'm a stick in the mud or what, but several years back, going out on NYE began feeling more like a chore than a treat.
I can understand not wanting to be alone on this night, even though going out is more dangerous and much more expensive than any other night.
I've always felt the most exciting aspect of the New Year is making new intentions for what you want to create. Too bad there aren't more parties about that, wouldn't that be fun?
Going to a pub wouldn't be bad idea...at least you are partaking in some of the fun.
Tomorrow will be a new day and a New Year.
