Some of you know I recently posted my profile again on Match.com, and that I was reluctant to do so. Nothing major has developed so far, but I must say I have been pleasantly surprised this time around.
First off, I have been really surprised at the number of YOUNGER men who have contacted me. I'm 53, and I've been hearing from men in their early 40s. That didn't happen before...it seemed like all the 65-year-olds were hot for me. Perhaps it's my photo: I submitted two, and they put my secondary photo (kind of flirtatious) up as the primary, so I just left it that way. I decided it was a better shot anyway.
Oh, and there have been a number of men from far away contacting me, even though my profile states I am looking for someone within 60 miles. So that's been kind of cool.
I've had a few meager email exchanges so far, no one is greatly exciting me right now, but I feel more hopeful about the whole thing. I'm even considering returning a few winks...but I'm still going to let the men contact me first. :)
Maybe I'll finally meet someone this way and everyone can say they told me so.

Thanks for the update!
I actually am open to long distance, but I also know it's a huge challenge, so the guy would have to be really special for me to pursue it.
But I say it's cool that they are contacting me because I walk around feeling invisible and like no man wants me. I can play a little game by saying to myself, "Here's a guy who can't find anyone special in his area and he has searched me out." I know they must use keywords to find my profile. Anyway, it's an ego boost more than anything, especially when the guy is kind of cute.
Maybe this OLD thing will work out.
