I'm conviced there are no decent, straight men left to date.

I hear ya! I've started to analyze my relationships in the past and have realized that I have never dated a "good nice" guy. I seem to only attract jerks. Keep in mind that I have been out on one or two dates with nice guys before but they never want to continue seeing me; it's always the jerks that want a relationship with me. I've decided to just stop looking for the time being and just hope that one day I will find the perfect guy for me. If I don't find "that" guy, then

I'm with ya, and I'm 53. Needless to say, it's way harder the older you get. Yeah, yeah, I know, people can meet at any age. I particularly hate it when people say, "Well, I heard about a couple in a NURSING HOME in their 90s who got married."

Like that makes me feel better.

I can certainly relate to the sentiment. I'm 47 and have tried the online dating thing which was a joke (mostly on me). I also work in a profession that attracts gay men like bears to honey, so there's little chance of meeting anyone here although theoretically I know

I totally agree!! I mean, I am beginning to believe that marriage and good relationships are all a myth. When ever I hear someone say, SOME PEOPLE HAVE NEVER LOVED AND LOST, I didn't know I was meant to be one of those people..........

I am at a complete loss as to how to stay encouraged about my romantic life when everyone around me are either alone, in a fwb situation or in bad relationships......

People constantly say to me, you should get out more, ummm, everywhere I go, the place is filled with a jillion women and maybe 3 guys.....

Even at the sports events, there are half naked women looking for a sponsor!! You get tired of competing.....

How can it be this hard?? Then when you do meet someone, you lack the patience and strength to even give it an honest try because you are so bruised from battle......

I think that's why I just do what ever the hell I want to do, why waste time.......

If a loving relationship is not in my destiny, then c'est la vie!! Time to get on with life......

GT36 who's just living for the city at this point!!
