I dont think it calls for magic dust...but when the heck am I gonna use it right?

So the folks on the What Not To Wear board have me all screwed up on what kind of shoes I should get for my new dress. Since you ladies seem like the sophisticated, put-together types I need a 3rd opinion. ;) Red, silver, gold, navy...oh the possibilities....so anyhow here is the dress:

Edited to say that the dress is navy, not black as the picture appears. Its difficult to tell in the pic but it is navy.

Here are the shoes I have in mind in either navy, silver or gold...

http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/11882862/c/935.html in Gold

http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/10600619/c/2061.html Silver

http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/11996194/c/632.html Silver

Or any other suggestions? Somebody on the other board said it would be a prom reject if I went with silver. I'm too old to be a prom reject! I'm not brave enough to try red..Gold seems ok but not a real strong metallic...any suggestions?

Thanks!

Ruby

Thanks all. I didn't realize the navy only came in size 10's...I thought about buying them for something else because they're so cute. I'm really leaning towards the Kenneth Coles and the RSVP's. I love those shoes you picked out Jules, very nice! I don't want to take away from the details on the dress because it is so beautiful. Simplicity is what I'm looking for. And TallGirl, I am about 5'5 but I have tree stumps for legs..haha...I'm working on that. I didn't know about the ankle strap rule but then I dont think any of my shoes have ankle straps either unless I cant see them under my clothes. But I dont think ankle straps would work well for me and my tree stumps even though they make walking easier.

I hope I can wear it soon. Or it might be hanging in my closet til NYE.
