It always amazes me what friends think of as appropriate fix-up material for me. Sometimes they really deserve a good scolding along the lines of "if you were single would you HONESTLY consider dating this person-- now be real and tell me the TRUTH!" It's like, hey, you're husband/boyfriend is handsome, successful, taller than you-- find me someone like him!

People think that someone being single is just enough for them to qualify as dating material. Ugh. So tired of it.

Actually, I think it's more like being single and over 25 that qualifies you as "open" fix up material!

Okay first... I can't believe you went to Westport! :p tehe

and second... to be fixed up with someone's Uncle... something about that creeps me out!?!? I realize not everyone's uncle is "old" but something about "uncle" just gives me the heebie jeebies! ROTFLMAO

and c) move those feet... what do you have to lose? Get up and go talk to him - motion for him to come over and talk to you. And if you were out on the dance floor dancing - how were they suppose to approach you NOT on the dance floor!? :p

The more I read these posts, the more I get the notion that I may go to my grave without ever going down the aisle, let alone, find a decent guy I can even stomach for longer than 2 seconds. I should've married my high school boyfriend ... but then again, I couldn't tolerate him for long. My mother loved him ... UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The shortest way to the grave is through the isle. In fact if you look carefully the coffins are right up there at the altar, though invisible to most.
