I hadn't heard of it, but it sounds like a good summer reading book for me.

At first I thought it would be funny chick-lit. But really, who needs another guide on how to "get a ring and seal the deal" - makes it sound so mercenary.

What panics me most is that she writes about the "wrong side" of 25 without a ring.

I thought it was one of those chick-lit books at first. But when I saw the cut off age of 25, I thought, what about those of us who are over 25? I'm dang near 30 so I guess there's no hope for us (according to the author) for those who are over 25? Why do they even use the age 25 as the cutoff age for anyway? I guess I need to start looking for nursing home applications since I'm past the cutoff age, yikes.

I was also put off by some of the remarks, but could relate to some as well. At 31 though, thinking of 25 year olds panicking? Yikes!

I've never read a how to get a man guide (actually, I'm in a long term relationship and if I were 25 at this stage rather than 31, marriage probably wouldn't be on my mind, but I am, so it interests me how others deal with the same feelings I have). Those of you who mentioned that...what did you read? I'm curious how someone can sell a book as if they have the answers as to how to get hitched. Ha! Like there is some formula?? If that's the goal of this book, it's kinda silly in my opinion, as she admits to not being married!

I will prob check out this book at the bookstore, but not buy it. I'm assuming I would have mixed feelings of recognition and annoyance. Was just curious about others' reactions
