Question about approaching women

I am a 25 year old male. How do women like to be approached outside of bars and dance clubs? I don't go to bars or dance clubs.

Please only advice/ opinions from women. I mean what is an appropriate thing to say to a woman when approaching her at the mall, in a book store, coffee shop, on the street?

Thank you for the thoughtful response. Every lady I've ever dated, I've always waited until I got to know them through church, school, or work. I've never been the type to just approach a lady. I guess you play in you mind how you want things to work out and if it doesn't happen then you get a little discouraged. I'lll keep trying to talk to her.

Keep the conversation out of your head. The more you practice how the conversation will go, the more nervous you will be and the more you will stumble when it doesn't go the way you plan.

I know it can seem like a good idea to practice what you are going to say, but the more conversations you have in your head, the worse you are face-to-face.

Either approach her at the store or don't, just keep it out of your head.
