Hi there everyone,

Hope you had a good week while I was away. I was in Dallas for work but flew to Austin on Friday afternoon where I visited with my oldest friend. He went to a different high school near me but I met him in high school. He and went to this great tex-mex place for dinner on Saturday night. Our waiter was a guy that I went to high school with and - this is the funny part - I couldn't remember for sure but thought that I had made out with him my freshman year. So I asked him about it and he said that he couldn't remember either but thought that we probably had. Heehee.

He's still pretty hot. Sigh. We exchanged emails and promised to keep in touch but a lot of good that will do me since he lives in Texas. :)

PS - Stacey, I thought of you when I bought this great belt: http://store.yahoo.com/crybabyranch/reblcobe.html

I find it really distrubing to see that as well - knowing my parents, if there had been the internet when I was a kid, I soooooo would not have gotten away with that. Not that I would have wanted to. I just wonder where these girls' parents are.

I wasn't allowed to have a phone or TV in my room as a kid, and if I were a teen now, my parents would crack down hard on anything Internet related. I do wonder where the parents are in this situation. There's no reason for a teenage girl to expose it all - name, age, location, sexy photos - online.

It really scares me that people rely on blogs for news - I had no idea!

My kids wont have that crap in their room either. When they get a job and can afford it on their own, I'll consider it.

And I think parents are really ignorant about their kids and their online habits. I plan on monitoring how much they are online and everything my kids are doing/reading/writing.

I'm glad my sister has a blog. I can keep track of her that way since she doesn't talk. But she also isnt one to write sexy things or put up inappropriate pics. I just wish she would take her damn name down.

There was only one TV in our house and we were only allowed to watch PBS. We also had carob instead of chocolate and puffed wheat instead of cereal - that's what you get with hippie parents. But they always knew what we were doing, ya know?

I just plan on not having children which makes all of that monitoring a little easier. I can't picture myself as a mother.

"Mom - can you help me with my homework?"

"Just a minute, dear. Mommy needs to finish her cigarette and her martini first."

My mom monitors my sister's (as does another one of my sisters), but when it comes to teenagers they will do as they will do and
