Hey Spring,

What's up? I know exactly how you feel, even though I am not in school anymore. When I was in school though, I always got distracted by boys and partying. Now, I work full time, so my career is the most important thing for me. Whatever you do in life always has to be done for yourself first. You always come first; then, everyone else comes second. It's not selfish, but a healthy way to live.

I am single as you are and notice that I get distracted when I meet a man that I like, but I realized that men come and go, but priorities in life is what really matters. If I mess up my job; then, no man can help me get it back. You are right, focus on yourself, do everything for yourself. At the end, you are the one who makes your own life.

By the way, it's my first post on this board, so hello to everyone, hopefully, I will post more often;-)

I barley remember school. (-: Are they still one room school houses? LoL But the fact is sometimes when you are chasing a goal, or making a radical change in life . .dating just suffers a bit. I did my first date in several months this past weekend and it wont offer a second . . (-: I know it is largely because I am distracted right now. What can you do?

I think I have a different perspective than some of the others.

I have focused on school and work for a long time now.

I believe in having a balance in life. Maybe you can date on Saturday nights or Sundays? See if there is a time you can crave out just for dating and fun. If the man is totally into you, he doesn't have a problem seeing you a couple of times a week. Plus it would give you a break from school and work. I wouldn't recommend getting too serious with someone, as you don't want to get off track with your degree.
