Regrets....

I know people say regrets are a waste of time. But i'm just curious what has happened in YOUR life that you regret. Maybe you broke things of with a great guy, or didn't study hard enough your freshman year. There's so many different things. Here are a few of mine:
- I never learned how to fully play an instrument
- I stopped working out after i lost 15 lbs ( it all came back)
- I went on to get my GED instead of a high school diploma
- I didn't start college until i was 25
I'm sure I have many more, but please share what yours are!

There's a quote- something like "You regret the things you don't do more than the things you have done."

II know it's not entirely healthy to have regrets but I do. I have a lot of regrets, but the big one is this:
I regret that I squandered my 20s "having fun," (e.g. going to parties and 'finding myself') when I should have been completing my college degrees. Because of that decision, I am in my 30s (now late 30s) only now finishing up. My student loans will be following shortly rather than being close to paid off.
I kick myself almost every day for that. When I see middle 20-somethings who seem to have it all together, have their own house and have started up a family, I kick myself for wasting time. Not to mention, I feel like I'm "between worlds" - I'm a 30-something but living like a 20-something, yet

I'd be interested in seeing the second half of each of those sentences.
For example:
I never learned how to fully play an instrument...but I plan to take guitar lessons this year.
I stopped working out after I lost 15 lbs...so I know that next time I start, I need to make it a lifestyle change.
I didn't start college until I was 25...and it gave me the opportunity to see the world from a different perspective and enter school for something I am truly interested in and I am taking my degree seriously.
For the GED, you can rephrase it: I am so proud that I took the time to complete my GED, because it allowed me to go on to college and improve my life.

I think our past is what has brought us to this exact moment in time and exactly who we are now. Sure, maybe you followed a different path than others, but it makes you YOU. In a lot of ways, your experiences might be richer than the people who followed the straight-line path.
AJ, enjoying life with C.
I like your thinking tallgilrcolo.
Hmm,
I regret I was shy, not very outgoing, with a boy that I liked and now I missed that window - oops
I regret I can't play any music on anything, let alone read it somedays
I regret I let myself get so hurt by a close friend who I really should stop referring to in that term
But - I've learned, I've grown, and best of all, I'm moving on! ^-^
This is a good idea, I think. Everyone has made mistakes thus we have regrets just cause we like things to go right, and they don't. I think it's good to admit it and go on with things as they are now.

well in looking at it that way... should I have bought that honda versus the toyota...
Yeah I was going to say the same thing. Little things in life, like I wish I would have picked up milk this morning rather than waiting until I get off work,
