When you began dating your boyfriend/SO, did you have any personal timelines in place?

I'm wondering how much time have you spent with each other in these 13 months ? Because it seems to me that by that time, one should know if they love you or not.

I think 18 months is more than adequate. I would stick with that...good luck! Let us know what happens!

I'm wondering the same thing as Anita. Seeing each other once a week for 13 months is different than seeing them once a month. It honestly doesn't sound to me like it's a very committed relationship, and a year is really a long time to waste if you want a commitment.

Mia, you didn't seem to state this.

Mia, then my completely unqualified advice is this: you don't know enough yet and neither does he. And I agree that more time is needed - but it can't be more of the same kind of time.

I agree with marina. I don't think you could ever build a true, loving relationship that way.
