Remember that guy?

Awhile back I posted about going out alone for the first time. I met a guy and sat at the bar and talked to him for a couple of hours and then he left. I didn't think I'd see him ever again. I thought he was interested, but he didn't ask for my number so I kind of forgot about him.

He was out tonight and we kind of danced around talking for awhile. He said hi first, and eventually he came over and talked to me and never left my side. He remembered details I'd told him before about myself that I would never have expected him to remember. It was one of those situations where you notice he's getting closer and closer, then you notice his hand on your back, then lower and you call him on it! He did ask for my number this time so we'll see if anything comes from it. Yesterday was his 30th birthday, so he's not even that young. I'm not expecting anything, but I'm hopeful. :-)

Shy, that is excellent! So glad to hear this! I think it looks promising, and really hope he calls you! Good luck. :smileyhappy:

BTW, if anyone remembers my message earlier this year (hmmm, I really don´t post much, do I?), about my very attractive bass-playing neighbour....there is a little progress. If you can call it that. I had a really nice and fun conversation with him a few weeks ago on a local music festival where he was in the festival band! As it is close to where I grew up, I stay with my parents that week and we go to several of the concerts/theatre. And, after a few days of "man-ing up", I finally dared to approach him. Or, he walked past me and I said hi... Had to wave, as he did not see who said hi. We laughed about that, he made the funniest gesture of being totally aloof and distracted. He was really talkative! And always smiling and keeping eye contact, with his hand of the chair next to the one I sat on. He has the most gorgeous blue eyes! :smileyhappy: Anyway, it was so easy to talk to him - and he actually did most of the talking! About the festival, his role there (as if I didn´t know already, hehehe), and things around the festival and music. Not so shy as I thought he was, then! It went really well, and I was not even nervous. It will be so much easier to say hi and talk to him now!

Sorry for "intruding" in your thread, Shy. Hope you don´t mind. :smileyhappy:

Hey Rubysat, i hope you dont mind me asking, what is your definition of *very attractive*, can you describe your *object of desire*? Im just curious, because my man is a rock bass player too (or does yours do some other type of music?) and looks exactly that, long hair, tall and strong, rocker clothes, rocker attitude, which is MY definition of *very attractive* :smileyhappy:! And has sweetest blue eyes too! I really wish you the very best of luck with this guy and am impatiently waiting for updates :smileyhappy:!

Two good stories in this thread - yeah!  Excited to follow them...

It's always nice when you realize that someone really was listening to you, and not just making conversation for the sake of it.  I think that's a great quality.  Now he has just to actually follow through and actually use that phone number.

Ruby- Yay! I was wondering how that situation was going. It's amazing how things never really turn out to be as difficult as we think they are going to be, but it's tough to take that step anyway. I hope you get to talk to him soon!

My guy has used my number already, and it wasn't even dirty! We'll see if he actually asks me out (an actual date??? Those make me nervous!) or is one if those guys who likes to text but not follow through. I get the impression that he likes to be in charge, which is good, so I'm just going to wait it out and see!

And here comes the part I hate! Second guessing...do I text him? Not text him? Let him end the conversation? Just drop it?? Argh. I don't like this part! He's working and I just asked him if how he's holding up (he was out later than usual last night).

I suck at this part!

But at some point the conversation has to end! Plus he's working, so I don't want to be bothersome. He did respond, and asked me what I was up to tonight. I do have plans, but one friend is iffy bc her daughter threw up this morning and another is iffy bc of family stuff. So I told him I had shaky plans. No response to that yet! And that was after I just said to have a good rest of the day, kind of ending the conversation.

Stay tuned for further updates...

Shy, it is great that you are texting now! If he answers to your texts, you should not worry about being "bothersome". :smileyhappy: Promising, indeed! Looking forward to hearing updates.

It was a big thing for me finally approaching him when alone and talking to him, without blushing or stuttering! I am normally talkative and it therefore sounds a bit stupid, but when it comes to guys I actually like a lot, those things are somewhat difficult at first.

Rocklady, you are my kinda gal! :smileywink: I don´t look the part, but I am a rock chick! Mmm, rock musicians.... Must say though, that this guy is an "average" kind of guy in most aspects. Tall, skinny and short hair, wearing jeans and Converse. And a bit shy. But very handsome! :smileyhappy: And he is most fond of jazz, as far as I can understand. But he plays everything, he is part of a huge number of bands/projects. I have him on Facebook, so I can get some updates. He´s not using it that much though.
