Returning to single life!

Hi everyone! I've been lurking on the "Breaking Up is Hard to Do' message boards, but I feel like I'm ready to make the transition from 'broken-up' to single. It was a 6 month relationship after being friends for 1.5 years, and it ended 3 weeks ago. I'm still flip-flopping between the different stages of grieving, but acceptance seems to be winning most of the time.

A bit more about me.

Sorry to hear about your breakup. Just curious, who initiated and why ?

Wow....it sounds like you're really isolated and social activities aren't really much of an option.

Hi Hillary,

Long story short,

First of all thanks for your reply. Secondly, I am NOT Hillary. I am just a guy who hates her guts. In fact, I spend about 5 hours a day(more on weekends) doing nothing but hating her and everything she stands for. And finally, the reason I asked is because I was reading about a book yesterday called "The 91% Factor.." which says 91% of breakups and divorces for whatever reason, are initiated by women. And sure enough you fall in with that statistic.

In response to the "91%" comment - I think that might be true.

My sincerest apologies hillaryh8er. It sounds like you're still upset over your previous break-up. I could be upset over all the things my ex should have done/could have done/didn't do/did do, but instead I'd like to use that energy on something more productive than feeling sorry for myself. All the best,

lisa

No, no, apology not needed ! I don't think we are talking about the same Hillary. This one has a husband who would like nothing better than to 'break up' with her.

Hey Lisa,

Here are a couple of articles I found really helpful to me when I was in a position like yours...

Don't know if they'll provide any specific answers for your situation (they're on a website about divorce not dating) but I found them kind of encouraging...

Don't you have anything better to do? Isn't Rush on somewhere?
