Ridiculous Valentine's Day

I wasn't expecting much for Valentine's Day. I had much to much to do. Spend the morning morning delivering flowers and candy and the afternoon teaching a tutoring. Then a meeting, and I figured my boyfriend wouldn't have planned anything, so I would make him some dinner and we could have a, um, romantic night. I had it all planned out.
So, when I get there very early the flowers are actually 45 min late. This hindered other things I had planned for the day. I was uber-stressed. My bf gave me the most romantically sweet card I have ever had, he made it himself and I nearly cried reading it. He used crayons and misspelled everything, it was utterly adorable. The message inside started with "Hey there, sexy," and included him telling me that he will be out of town tonight. That was okay, I understood why, and we made plans for this weekend. He left early (we work together) and I left his valentine with my other candy and stuff on my desk. I went to the meeting and my co-workers kept calling me "sexy." Now, with the people there it was not too bad. But then one of them told me we needed to have a talk about "workplace inappropriateness." Apparently, while I was gone, my co-workers assumed that the valentine was from one of my "kids" and PICKED IT UP AND READ IT! Is that or is that not the ultimate in rudeness? And then have the nerve to lecture me about being inappropriate?!?!?!? That message was inside the card, and it was not on display. I hadn't shown anybody.
Why would they do that? They knew I was having a bad day and that I was going to be stressed out about impending deadlines and numerous things on my "to-do' list and no bf, so why?
Okay, I am done. I went home early, because my boss had skipped out to do who-knows-what and I couldn't talk to him, so I went home and watched the Gilmore Girls and had ice cream and daquiris. probably not a good idea, but I shall keep ultra busy tomorrow and ignore everyone.
Thanks for listening.
