Just curious, if I may ask, what is the story with T? How did you two meet? How long have you been dating now?

Ops just now realised that I have misspelt your 'name' and can't edit it..sorry.

There's not really much to tell as far as a story.

My thoughts exactly. I was kinda hoping for a bit of starry-eyed infactuation mixed with 'it's going so well'... I wish her well..

PS: *wink* to Rocklady1970 - she knows why!:)))

Why?

I've had the starry-eyed type of relationship before and they just never seem to last.

I just find it a little bit upsetting that all you can say about him at this stage is that 'he's completely and totally not "your type" and there are things about him that you're not sure you could live with'. I know what you mean about very passionate starts to reltationships which don't go anywhere; I also know of a few which did go very far and are still going very strong. If someone is completely and totally not my type I couldn't bring myself to be with him even if I really wanted to, and even if he was perfect in every other sense. Yet, to each their own. I honesty wish you all the best with this man.

Agree with JuliaSuk. What´s the whole point of *dating* someone who is *completely and absolutely not your type*?????? Makes no sence at all for me.

Hey, if you're having fun and enjoying yourself, that's what counts!

Just because he's not the type I normally date, that doesn't mean we can't have a connection or develop feelings.

I think it can be really good to date someone who is not your "type" on the surface -- but he might turn out to be your type in terms of having the qualities you really want.

I know more married (happily married, I might add) couples who were not all googly-eyed at first but then fell madly in love. I think it's better that way - really take the time to get to know each other and then one day discover that you've fallen in love after all.

Good luck, Shy, and enjoy. :)

AJ, enjoying life with C.

I think it's better that way, too.
