Signs I'm Ready for a Relationship
Find a Conversation

Being newly single (less then 4 months) and in a "casual" relationship, I've begun to question what I'm really looking for. I've told Mr. Casual that I don't want a long-term, serious relationship, but the conversation has made me ask "really, are you sure"? The answer is yes I am sure. Here are the things I've determined that I need before I can get serious about Mr. Casual or anybody.
1. To go 7-days without feeling lonely or bored.
2. Participate in two hobbies on a weekly basis, one of which must be out of doors.
3. Spend time hanging out with friends (not boyfried or Mr. Casual) at least once per week.
4. Get exercise at least 3 times per week (number 2 can count towards this).
5. Buy my own condo
6. Cook meals for myself at least 2 times per week.
7. Go out on at least three real dates without sex.
8. It is the year 2008 or later.
9. Give up any "friends with benefits" relationships I may be in*.
* If in a FWB relationship, must be taken on three "real" dates in a month, at least one of which cannot lead to sex before I can be upgraded to "real relationship".
So what do you think? Given these circumstances, does continuing the relationship with Mr. Casual sound healthy?
What are your signs you are ready for a real relationship?
PS-the screen name was created prior to separating fron husband. I'm much more contented these days :)

My first questions is has separated turned to divorced?
