Single and loving it?

Hi all,

A little background... I am 32 single and successful. I have a full and fantastic life, filled with family, friends and fantastic work.

I am happy. In love with life. Mostly, (that's a good 99.9% of the time) I thrive on the single life, the ability to simply get up and go at a moments notice... to lie on the couch reading a magazine on a Saturday afternoon. To go out with my friends and dance until morning.

And then comes the first holiday I have had in 3 years. And I'm thinking a little holiday fling would go down very nicely right now. Nothing complicated or stressful, just easy fun. Someone to kiss on New Year's Eve.

This fish has never needed a bicycle, but right now, I do want one!

Anyone out there feeling the same way? My plan to overcome the 'urge' is to fill every day of my holiday with absolute fun. I have the first 5 days down... just trying to plan the other 15. Any suggestions?

;)

Hi crvgrl,

Well I seem to be off to a running start. Stayed out until 2.30am this morning and am now suffering through the first hour at my desk. Last day at work... and then off on holiday.

I have decided to take more risks, do what I feel like doing, to be spontaneous and throw caution to the wind and just do it! Whatever "it" may be.

Will keep you informed as the holiday progresses. Have recently met a very interesting younger man, which is quite entertaining. So, between 24 year olds, parties, family and friends, this woman is going to have FUN!

Good luck with your holiday... if I get inspired I will post some inspiration!

Have a ball and Happy Holidays!

Heya!

Just posted you a reply on your msg about emailing an ex!

I have not heard from the 24 year old for a while, except a random text about what I was doing for New Year. Of course, I didn't want to sound desperate and said something about not really sure... haven't decided... too many offers. Some such crap. Currently, I think I might actually be spending it with my family. Which, granted, is not so horrible, huge party, free champagne, life could be worse! But, man, oh, man... it could be so good kissing that sweet face at midnight... a girl can dream.

Other than that I have been drinking, sleeping and eating my way through this joyeous of all joys - festive season.

Getting serious for a moment... I don't like New Year's Eve, something about the meeting of the past head on with the future in one big salute downed with a bottle of champagne that never makes me feel all warm and fussy inside, dispite the tequila chaser.

Oh, well... Here's to getting to the 1st of January 2007. I plan on climbing a mountain on that morning (literally), always gets me in touch with reality - nothing like getting close to your creator to put your life in perspective!

I will see you in 2007.

And cudos for the email!

Hey Tuttyfruity-
Glad to hear you enjoying the holidays! I am as well! As for the 24 year old...hmm I'd say if you really want to join him NYE do it! No harm done..you can always use the excuse..your plans got cancelled last minute..or ____ (name some friends) got sick...something...there are some good excuses out there (which are not necessarily LIES!!) Although spending it with you family can be fun as well! I don't live near any of my family so that isn't an option for me. As for my plans I am hoping ot go out with some friends and just have fun...and like another poster said it best (at midnight ..will disappear into the bathroom) I am like you though..not a big fan of NYE! I agree with you 100%! not a big fan of the tradition of it being a romantic night ...kissing at midnight..hmm could it be the fact..I always seem single during this time>??? hmm what do you think!
Well Enjoy the rest of the holidays! I most likely won't be back on until Sat. or Sun. so will be catching back up with you then to see what's going on with the 24 yr old! GOOD LUCK!

-CRVGRL!
