Single in late 30's

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this and wrote in about two weeks ago. Is there any women in their late 30's and single? All my friends are married and have kids. I go to church and everyone is older. I just started a new job which I'm not sure I like and everyone is either 20's or 50's. You don't want to go on vacation by yourself?? I love to go biking, but noone to go with because everyone is married with kids. Oh and when I think I met a nice guy, he's MARRIED. Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks!

Hi, welcome to the board! I'm 46 and single; we have a range ages on the board. You might also consider posting on the Living Single 30 and Up board.

I am actually ok with going on vacation by myself (I went to Vietnam for 2 weeks on my own this spring, in fact), but if you're not, have you considered taking a biking trip with a company like Backroads or Bicycle Adventures? Some of the trips they offer are even geared towards singles.

I haven't really had a problem with meeting married men (do you mean married men pretending to be single?)...just a whole bunch of single guys I'm not compatible with for one reason or another ;-).

Its important not to define your time-table based on other people's lives. There are PLENTY of single men out there! Ugh, just visit your local gym! A couple of my male friends were just saying that they don't think that there are any single women in their mid to late 30's. Join a singles club in your area, go to some of the functions, take a summer class. The more people you meet, the better the chance of meeting someone decent.

It *was* fascinating! It's a really beautiful country with lots of history and culture, and great people. I would definitely like to go back someday.

Here are links to the trip report and pics I posted on another board, if you're interested:

uh sorry matt, but I think the gym will never work. I am at the gym 5 days a week, and I've never met anyone there. I've barely ever talked to another person, male or female, at the gym. people aren't at the gym to socialize- they are there to work out, they are usually in a hurry, and they need to concentrate. On top of it, most people look horrible at the gym. I know that personally I am soaked in sweat and wearing elastic waistband shorts that make my butt look ENORMOUS. Yeah, the gym is not the place to meet people.
