Imagine yourself in 40-50 years looking back on your life.

I went to my cousin's high school graduation on Sunday.

My greatest success will be raising two children who grow up to be responsible, happy, well-adjusted adults with families of their own. They seem headed in that direction, if I can just get my son through the teen years! My daughter is 20 and in college and my son will be a senior next year. So far, so good!

I also see success as finding a lasting loving relationship, someone to share my life with (looking good there too!) Friends and family are a big part of my life, maintaining close ties is important to me.

I also like to think I help those in need as much as possible, I volunteer for a variety of causes, and always feel good about that, so I will feel successful if I can look back and say I made a contribution to the well-being of mankind and mother earth.

Success to me is all of the above, plus living life to the fullest, trying to maintain a positive attitude, being happy with who I am, and enjoying life!

>What is success in life to you?

1) Having no regrets
2) Measuring what I have achieved against what I was capable of achieving and being satisfied with the result.
3) Making love in every Continent on Earth. (Only 3 left!)

I've posted something similar to this before but here goes again... What do I want to look back on my life and see?

I want to see that I helped and made a difference in the lives of as many animals as possible

I want to see that my nephew went to college and is successful and help with that if possible

I want to have been successful professionally and made a hefty amount of money (and before everyone jumps in with the "you can't take it with yous", I know that and have heard it before. However, I can leave it behind for my family to enjoy.)

I want to have travelled extensively and seen as much of the world as possible

I want people to have looked at me as a strong, independent, passionate, proactive, polished, refined, creative, successful woman who followed her heart

Anyone who would jump on you would be a moron.

I want to use my education to do something important instead of just make a living day to day doing something that isn't important in the grand scheme of things.

I want to have a romantic relationship.

If these two things happen, I'll be good. I'm pretty sure the first one is going to pan out, not so sure about the second one.

Just a follow-up thought:

I hear and read a good bit that I can't take my money with me and that is true. However, all these people on board who long for a relationship, they can't take THAT with them either. Isn't it a two-sided coin? Seems that it should be.
