Is anyone else getting the ad on this page with the giant pregnant belly, advertising fertility resources? I'm not sure the "single life" is the right target audience for that ad. :) I mean, maybe, but certainly not me.

>>Maybe they think we're all ready for sperm donors! <<

That's what I was thinking. Ha ha.

Seriously, though, now that I am in my 30s I have considered whether or not I would ever have kids on my own - either that way or by adoption. Honestly, I don't think I could do it, as much as I'd really love to be a mom. I just know how hard it is to be a single parent, and how hard that can be on a kid.

My best friend is always talking about getting a sperm donor (either through a clinic or the old fashioned way), and I can never tell if she's really serious or not.

>>but I wouldn't ever want my kid to know about eating ramen and grilled cheese all the time just to be able to pay the bills. <<

Yes, me too. Also, I would hate to have to put my child in daycare because I'd have to go to work. The only way I might consider that is if I start my own business from home.
