Happy Monday,

I hope that you all had a good weekend. I spent some time with my ex and some time with friends and a day with my mom. All around a nice, relaxing time.

I am going to go to a speed dating event tonight. This won't be my first time doing this, it will be my second but the first time was years ago. I remember that I really enjoyed it, though. I think that the key is not having high expectations for finding love. I am very outgoing and I look at it as a chance to meet a bunch of new people and have a great time. Last time I went out with 2 guys afterward but neither lasted more than one date.

If anyone is interested in what the experience is like, let me know and I will post about it tomorrow.

Jules

I'm glad you had a nice weekend. Mine was pretty low key. I met up with a girlfriend on Saturday. She has two young ones so, we bowled a game at a local mall, let the kids play some video games and then grabbed some lunch together. Sunday I helped my sister unpack. She and her husband just finished construction on a new home.

I actually have an old flame who started up a speed dating business here in town. Last I heard, it was doing quite well. Definitely post about your experience tomorrow!! Have fun!!

Hehehe - I am just now able to take a break. It was a blast. There were 27 "dates" which, honestly, got a bit tiring at the end. But the quality of men and women there was really pretty high. Lots of smart, funny, interesting people with solid careers and seemingly happy lives. There was one man there that really interested me. He was tall and thin with that cute geek look which I love. If he liked me too, I will find out when they send out the email lists of our matches which should be sometime today or tomorrow.

I will keep you posted if anything comes from it. But it was a really good time even if I don't net a date.

Jules,

I didn't mean to imply you were THAT kind of girl. I thought you might have been sucked into one of those cheap speed-dating events that aren't very fast.

I sure hope so. Most of the men asked the same questions "What do you do for a living? Where do you live?" over and over. That was the only annoying part and the few men that appealed to me had more interesting conversational skills.
