Speed Dating Events

Anyone ever been to one of these? Held at local clubs, where you 'date' approx. 25-30 guys, and get to spend 3 minutes with each one. You score yes or no on a card whether you would like to meet them for a date (they do the same). These are turned in at the end of the night, and the next day you receive an email listing contact info for only those people whom you both said yes (that you would like to get to know the person better). I thought it sounded like fun, and I signed up weeks ago - its tomorrow night. I figure it might be better than online dating, because you meet these people face to face, and talk. Anyone ever been? I will let you all know how it goes after the fact.

Here's a helpful tip....you only have to remember the people you vote "yes" to. So take good notes on them and forget about the ones you aren't interested in. If it's "Hurry Date" they help with this. They are a huge company that has a web site with online profiles of the people you matched with. These are helpful in keeping everyone straight. Especially the ones with pictures. But there is another one in my area that that doesn't have that. So you really have to write stuff down as you go because you will never remember who anyone was once it's over.
