The guy I'm currently dating is doing a triathlon in about a week. I wanted to come out to support HIM to some extent, am also, genuinely interested in observing my first Tri sporting event. I was wondering what sort of friend i should bring along as a fellow spectator while the boy sweats? My friends are mostly guys, and my fitness oriented g/f's suffer from a deficit of social boundaries/graces.

TIA for your input.

Do you have to bring someone?

not sure what I mean, or am afraid of, essentially. I'll be traveling out of the way separately from the boy's destination caravan. chances are, he'll never be able to see or locate me (no time to waste). I might get a glimpse of him during the races, but I doubt we'll be able to meet at the end of the competition. At the end of the race, I may not be able to find him, he may be too exhausted, and have commitments to others. I'd like to keep myself busy while i'm there, don't want to spent some six some odd hours on the grounds all by my lonesome, but it would be nice to go with someone who apprecites the athletics, more easy-going than flirtatious. still confused? now, that makes two of us.
