Strange Question

Is it "okay" to say to someone that you would like see him or her again and get to know each other again? I understand that when you are asking someone out, the purpose is to get to know the person, but what is your opinion of explicitly stating the purpose?

I am suspecting that my problem is not a confidence/self-esteem issue, or that I have improved so much over the last year. Rather, for some strange reason, I am still reluctant, fearful of being intimate. Perhaps, I am less afraid about my crush's impression of me than disillusionment, the realization that love life, or my crush, is not as wonderful as I hope. Am I making any sense. Ruby-Shoes, if you are reading, help me out!

I don't see anything wrong with it.

Of course. You are showing her you like her by saying that, and also making it clear that getting to know her better is important to you - as opposed to getting together again to kill time, have sex, whatever. :)
