I tend to recall hearing something similar...what a shame. An Affair To Remember is one of my all time favs!

It seems like a LOT of people who were alive in that time used hard drugs, doesn't it? I'm sort of glad I missed the 70s.

I thought about Cary Grant (the way he was when he was young--he was so suave) but in real life, it turns out he was a drug user--he liked to experiment w/ LSD--that doesn't seem to fit his image does it?

Yes Hugh Grant was a perfect bad boy in Bridget Jones and I have to admit pretty attractive with his cynical humor. Was it shortly after that he, the actor, got caught with the hooker? Can't remember the sequence.

Remember in Bridget Jones Diary how she was pining after Colin Firth?

Paul Newman, Robert Redford (in their heyday natch) and Mr. Darcy (as portrayed by Colin Firth of course)
