Risks of pregnancy after 35. Does this bother anyone else as much as it does me?

Yep. I already knew all that. The fact that they've been telling us we can "wait" and put it off until later is just to create a fertility industry. My family has been pressuring me for the last 6 yrs...I am the oldest woman in my family (I have 300 cousins!) not to have a child yet. I think I have good chances tho - b/c my grandmother had her last child at 45. Grandma had no complications and neither did the baby. Plus, there is no family history of anything but healthy babies and I didn't start my own fertility cycle until I was 18. So I suspect I would not be in the "normal" categories ;-)

What on earth would you be worried about? You are merely 26...and long way from 40! Don't panic yet...

I knew all of it already as well, but I thought that the first line was misleading. It said something about not being as bad as we thought. Sounds bad to me!

Why I'm worried? Sure, I'm 9 years from 35, but my older sister (who is 35) just had a hysterectomy, and my mother almost had one at about the same age. She also had a miscarriage at 35. Women on my father's side of the family have also had to have hysterectomies because of fibroids. I have the family history, plus I started my period two weeks after my ninth birthday. I already have 17 years worth of healthy eggs gone!
