tired of being called a Lesbian

I have a very muscular build to me. Sort of like Serena Williams.
Yesterday I was at a club with the girls and a guy buys me a drink. We dance a bit and flirt. While we are talking, he tries to touch me. I didn't feel comfortable with this and backed off. He then called me a lesbian. I am getting really tired of being called a Lesbian because of my physique. It's really unfair.

I don't think it was your body that made him say that.

i think his comment just hit a sensitive spot for me because in other situations people do make comments about my body so I am really sensitvie about it. but i guess you are right.

He felt rejected, so he said that to make you feel horrible. Very immature and says more about him, then it does you. He was obviously attracted to you and put the moves on you, so he really did not feel you were an actual lesbian. He just wanted to hurt your feelings.... Most people know that the worst thing you can tell a single woman is to call them a lesbian as an insult.

Your muscles had nothing to do with why you got called a lesbian by that stupid guy. He called you that because his tiny little eggshell ego was crushed by rejection and he had to make it up somehow by belittling you.

Thanks guys. I've been feeling sort of upset about that comment all weekend, but you guys really help me realised what a jerk he was.

I'm with the others - he just said that because he got rejected.

Mmh, I would die to have a body like Serena Williams! (smile) I don't think there is anything lesbian about her physique and if you have her body type; then you've "GOT IT GOING ON!!"

Feel proud of that physique -- I'm working hard trying to get there!

>>The lesbian comment is one of my favorites, along with, "what? don't you like sex?" <<

My current two favorites (both of which I heard from a guy at a bar Friday night) are:

- oh, I guess you're the shy type
- wow, don't you have a sense of humor?

I hear these two fairly often from complete strangers who try to yuck it up with me at a bar, and who get insulted when I don't laugh at their lame attempts at humor. Or when I don't do the dumb bimbo giggle/hairflip combo they were expecting.

I do get offended. But, after reading this thread, I think these comments are in the same category as the lesbian comment -- an attempt by men to hide their bruised egos.

AJ, enjoying life with C.

My favorite is the plain 'ol "witch" response.
