My nieces are on their way over and we are going to go finish up some shopping. Their mom is a teacher as well, and today is her last day of school. Their dad works from home so I thought I would get them out of his hair.

I have to get a CD for two of my four nieces, some make-up for another, and I already have a gift for the fourth. I also bought them each an inexpensive MP3 player. I hope they like them! Also, I still have to get my mom and dad something. I will probably end up getting my father clothing and my mom, some earrings or a bracelet. We aren't suppose to exchange gifts but they insist on buying for me since I don't have a spouse so turn around is fair play.

Oh yeah, I have to pick up a 2007 calendar for two male bachelor friends of mine. I have been getting them Sports Illustrated calendars for as long as I can remember although, recently I've switched to Maxim. That's not a typical gift coming from me, but I don't have to think and it's relatively cheap!

Enjoy your day! I'm hoping that it isn't too awfully crowded out today!

My sister is more of the "grown-up" teenaged variety, but I can give you her Christmas list for some ideas.

You can't go wrong with a gift certificate to the movies or music store, but if you are like me, you enjoy seeing them opening their gift. All of my nieces are really into music . . . do you know what artists she likes? My oldest niece, who's ten, is into Ally & AJ, Hannah Montanna, Cheetah Girls, and Vanessa Hudgins. I know five years is quite a lot when it comes to music tastes but I hope this helped, some!
