Hello guys;

well me and mom made it back to the house where we live  and there is power and lights and all.. just no landline phone nor food.. sis at the last minute broke down and said we can come back when power is back and we can get in.. Maybe she was thinking all kinds of weird stuff as I was.. Man this event put us all into post traumatic stress disorder and a paranoia.

Anyway;; Sis is not here and staying at her boyfriends because that is the train line she can get on to go to work.. The trains around here by the water are still out of service.

As I was driving home the area looks so much worse than the pics on tv and now its the clean up time.. Some of the stores are open but the bridges that connect places are not open but I dont want to be going over any bridges right now..

So its back to normal somewhat I guess and I so thank my son and his gfriend and her kids for putting up with us for three weeks. It had its ups and downs but all in all it was pretty good.

Back to looking for jobs (I apply everyday to something) and apts. and complaining about being single and griping and sharing and venting and living life and talking to you guys..

thanks everyone for being supportive as it actually helped alot..

As they say on Fiddler on the Roof... TO LIFE.. and May the force be with us..

Free, this is my second time trying to respond.  If two posts show up an hour from now, my apologies.

I was going to reach out today and see how things were going so thanks for the update.  I guess it will be kind of nice for your and your mom to have the house to yourselves for a while after the ordeal you've been through.  I hope you both have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I am so happy you've made it home FINALLY!  I just can not fathom how bad it is up close and personal like you are experiencing.  After our storms here last year, I just over prepare, send the dog to my kiddos and pack a bag to be at work for days on end.  There was just no way you could prepare for anything thing this disastreous.
