So you are single, you like to date and etc. What do you see sexy in a man?

While looking online and in magazines. There are tons of magazines like Maxim & FHM, but they are for men? What gives? Do you would you like to have a magazine like that see check out hot guys?

I also see online there are video bloggers and podcasters that are voted to be 'top hot women', but I never see anything for 'top hot men'? Would you like to see that too?

What gives? Do you women just not like that don't look at a magazine, watch a video blogger, or listen to a podcast because the person is not attractive (aka "hot") to them.

Sex sells and gets attraction to people to check things out and stir up interests.

So what do you seen man that is sexy that stirs up your interest to find out more? It is the looks, personality, everything or what? Give some good details!!

Humble, witty, confident, and an accent never hurts. I also like weird flaws: A gapped tooth, a scar like Harrison Ford's, or a larger nose like Adrian Brody's. I loved Kevin Spacey in American Beauty and his complexion is not quite that of a baby's bottom. Speaking of Spacey, he's very funny! I enjoy him on the late night talk show circuits.

Shy authored a thread on this board titled "Your Imaginary Boyfriend" not too long ago. You should go check it out.

Thanks for your opinons.. I will check out that board post too.

So I guess my next question is..
If this person has all this attributes, would you watch a video or listen to a podcast that he does? or Check him out in a magazine or something?

It all depends on the content. What is he blogging about? I don't take time out of my day just to look at a pretty boy, if that's what you mean. Ryan Reynolds is blogging for the Huggington Post. I think he's a handsome guy and an okay actor, but I don't really care to check out his blogs. Not sure why.

Not really.

I love Dane Cook and I occasionally go to his website to check out when and if he's going to be on tour and to see what he's been up to but not on a regular basis.

exactly.. The Ryan Reynolds is perfect example.. So the content that is being produced is more important.. the 'hot' guy looks is just and added feature..

at least that is what is sounds like.. right?

ok again.. it seems like the content comes 1st then the looks.

But how did you hear about him in the 1st place? did you hear from a friend that there is a 'hot' comedian? or did you hear his work first..while flipping through the TV channels and you saw him on Comedy Central. Did you stop to that channel because he looked attractive or not?

Yeah, it's like the stripper thread on this board. Women, in general, I think, don't really care much about eye candy. Yeah, it's nice and of course to be dating someone is different; there must be a certain level of attraction. When it comes to blogs etc, I'd rather read something witty and insightful. Looks have nothing to do with intellect.

For me, things that I find are sexy are not things that you can just see in a picture. I love intelligence and a great sense of humor. I love an affectionate, yet strong man. None of these things can be found on a website or magazine. Pcitures of hot men will not keep my attention long enough. There has to be substance.

interesting..You point well taken..It seems that sex doesn't really sell as much for women as it down for men...

I see you are a Account Executive...So how does that 'sex sells' concept work with you business while marketing towards women?

I'm trying to get into Advertising myself with my videos. I have done panels at the Chicago Art Institute during the Motion Graphics festival. While speaking at the Apple store in Downtown Chicago and teaching courses at the University of Illinois Illini Media Apple store. Plus I have been featured on the Wall Street Journal for some of my videos.

Why? Are you starting a magazine or a Web site for women?

I have to say, I'd be thrilled to see a cute guy on the cover of 'Self' or 'Redbook' for a change. All the men's magazines feature half-naked women on the cover, but so do the women's magazines. Why don't the women get half-naked men on our magazines?

That said, I wouldn't subscribe to a magazine that was all about eye candy. There has to be some substance to the publication (print or online) for me to have any interest. A nice view along the way wouldn't hurt, though.

AJ, enjoying life with C.
