What do you think guys look for?

I was thinking last night that I don't feel like a very good "specimen" for guys to date! ROTFL What I mean is, while I'm pretty good looking, have an education and a good sense of humor - it seems my lack of bachelor's degree makes me feel less than (I have an associates but blah).

Do you think (on average) guys want a girl who has completed her bachelor's degree?

What other qualities do you think guys truly want in a girl - a girl to marry!?

iwillbthere4u,

Thanks for the kind words. I come here for input and once in a while I have something worth sharing. I'm sure you will do the same thing. Have a wonderful evening.

I guess my point was too vague. Unless you're planning on trying to be all those things, the variety in responses may not serve you well.

I admire your honesty. You're going to have trouble finding a woman like that here though. Sexy AND obedient? The obedient ones usually have low self-esteem, and the sexy ones are usually stubborn.

I would take what Hal says with a grain of salt and a "tongue-in-cheek" view. He can be wonderfully sarcastic.

We miss having you around, Hal!

Being smart does not equal having a good education. Being kind has nothing to do with a college degree. Being hard working or successful does not correlate to having a BA or BS.

There is a checkbox on these dating websites on what level education I'm looking for in a partner. I use to check bachelor's or higher but I realized that I was limiting myself on finding a wonderful woman.

The key quality in a woman (I'm 52) is her having self awareness. In order to have a good, close, intimate relationship I believe that is the foundation for both partners.

There are the other usual qualities like kindness, able to listen/communicate, self confidence, healthy lifestyle, embracing her sexuality and sharing that, being sensual, humor/fun,... but I believe that being conscious and self aware is needed for long term closeness.

oh Mark - if only guys MY age had the wisdom you have. I have a feeling guys my age are STILL checking the "bachelor's degree or higher" box! :(

Thanks SO much for your comments... ya know... you aren't too far from my age range... :) :p

I know how to take these kinds of people. UBt I was actually honest when I said that I admire his honesty. He's risking himself to be "flamed"...welll...he was.

Of course, a woman like that doesn't exist. Meek and sexy don't match, unless you're a Loony Toons character.
