I don't know. I don't think I can tell anything from a first kiss. I had two bad first kisses with two guys I then fell for later. And lots of great first kisses with guys where it went absolutely nowhere and some where I never heard from them again.
The intensity (passion) in a kiss depends on the mood you're in at the time, not necessarily what number it is. If you are focusing too much on the first kiss, maybe you are focusing on the wrong thing.
I don't get butterflies from kisses. Never have, really. I usually get butterflies from guys after I have gotten to know then after a while and found out I liked them.
And typically first kisses with most guys have not been the best at first. In the beginning, the first couple of times I kissed my ex, I thought he needed help in that area. After a little while, he ended up being the best kisser I have ever dated. He has nice, full lips.
If I don't feel a spark in that first kiss (even if it's not the best kiss) then chances are I'm not going to see the relationship going anywhere. Forgive me stealing the phrase but I won't be that "into him". Chemistry is the number one factor of importance when I first start dating someone. I think I get bored quickly with a lot of guys so at least if the sexual or romantic chemistry is high, then I will be more likely to want to keep the relationship going. ~Di
I DO have to feel something in a kiss. It doesn't have to be the first kiss but I love to kiss and I have to feel a stirring when I am kissing someone if I don't the relationship really doesn't go anywhere because there isn't usually any chemistry or any passion and I just can't fake it.

I think it's great to have butterflies, but I don't think that could make or break a potential relationship.
How about the difference of if you want someone to kiss you or if you are nervous to have someone kiss you.
There is so much you could read into LOL!

My first kiss with T was HOT.
My first kiss with J was sweet. The second was HOT.
My first kiss with K was...well...I had to do it.
You speak for all women there. Same with men. Men prefer the 'feminine' type.
